Altitude - 7000 Feet

This was a difficult hike.  The path was covered with snow and ice & the altitude was a killer.  A three mile walk felt like a six mile walk.  By the time we were back at the car, we were exhausted!  However, the ruins of Betatakin, a village built into the canyon were beautiful.  There is a hike that will take you to the ruins & you can walk among them, but we didn't have the time required to make the trek.
