Austria Trip 2004
Our first trip of the year! This year, we decided that we wouldn't vacation alone...No! We would take all the kids with us. At first, we were going to go to Canada, but then Gretchen found this great deal to Austria. Before you could say ensundagund (if you can) we were booked and on our way. We even brought our niece, Laura along for the ride. Come along and experience what we saw...without the cold or the Stiegel, that is.

About this section of the site - We're going to try something different here, so bear with us. For a more interactive experience, I have posted the pictures not according to day, but according to the area of town. Click on the picture below for those areas of Salzburg that we explored. For other pictures (out of town), click the other links.
6 Hotspots Here - The Castle, the Three Churches and the Walking/Shopping Area
The Shopping District from the air. There are 5 Hotspots here. One is from a cool store named Mango, three are from the same store where Fran got her new Bavarian Outfit. The final one leads to St. Peter's Restaurant. We never really had a problem with the language here - almost everyone spoke English to us once they realized that we were American & were trying to use German. In fact, I would say that 99.7% of the people we encountered spoke better English than the woman who drove the Shuttle Bus at Newark Airport!
