It [Leaving Explorama] was like leaving home for the first time. It was hard for me to
believe that I could form such a strong attachment to a place in only a few
days, and yet there it was. The ride to Ceiba was passed largely in
silence...[Here at Ceiba] we felt completely out of place. Things got
worse in our room: Windows (that don't open), a door with locks, a toilet!
Air-Conditioning! It was culture shock, pure and simple.
...But the pool
and slide are fun. The sunset was beautiful. The clouds were
red-orange and grey and every once in awhile the lightning would flash through
them.
